Solid Waste

We are a state regulated landfill that accepts Class I (Household), Class III (demolition), and tires.

Litter Grant – TDOT gives counties grant funds yearly. These funds are used to provide food/snacks and water/sodas/juice for clean-up days hosted by Keep Smith County Beautiful. The grant is also used to purchase items such as bug spray, gloves, safety vests, grabbers, etc. for the litter program inmate crew.  It pays the guards with the crew, purchased the van and trailer used by the inmates during the two days per week they pick up litter on our roadways.
